Halong International Cruise Port

PROJECT INTRODUCTION

Located in the heart of Bai Chay, near the Sun World Ha Long, this is a special-grade port infrastructure project and Vietnam’s first purpose-built international cruise port. Halong International Cruise Port comprises two areas: the international terminal serving large cruise ships and ultra-luxury international yachts, and the domestic terminal serving vessels touring Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay.

The international berth features a modern design, with a 406-meter-long pier supported by six mooring dolphins. The passenger terminal hall is 130 meters long and 30 meters wide, capable of accommodating cruise ships of up to 225,000 GRT and serving two ships simultaneously. Meanwhile, the domestic terminal includes four berths with a maximum capacity of up to 300 sightseeing and overnight cruise vessels operating routes to Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay, and Gia Luan Pier (Cat Ba). It is fully equipped to serve sightseeing boats, overnight cruise ships, and large high-speed vessels.

Notably, the 4,500-square-meter cruise terminal building spans three floors and was designed by one of the world’s “Top 5 leading architects” – Bill Bensley. He masterfully distilled and blended the essence of Vietnamese and European culture and architecture, creating a terminal that resembles a corner of Hoi An’s ancient town on the outside, while evoking the interior of a 13th-century European sea vessel on the inside. Here, visitors can experience culture, cuisine, and high-end shopping while waiting to purchase tickets for bay tours.

With its modern infrastructure, continuously improving services, and the presence of major cruise lines, Halong International Cruise Port serves as a “golden gateway,” welcoming visitors from around the world to Ha Long.
