Sun Hospital enters into a strategic partnership with McCrae Hospitals to enhance healthcare experience in Vietnam through digital transformation.
On October 16, 2025, Sun Hospital, operated by Sun Group, and McCrae Hospitals – a leading New Zealand healthcare technology company – signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with the aim of enhancing the healthcare experience for customers through digital transformation and, further, contributing to the development of the healthcare industry in Vietnam.
According to the cooperation agreement, McCrae Hospitals will provide the HIS - Amalga technology solution along with a consulting package, operational training, and transfer of hospital management processes according to international standards to Sun Hospital.
Sun Hospital officially signed a cooperation agreement to implement the HIS - Amalga software with the "giant" of the healthcare industry from New Zealand - McCrae Hospitals.
With the support of HIS – Amalga, the customer experience at Sun Hospital will be optimized and comprehensively digitized. This will optimize check-in procedures, treatment referrals, and payments in a seamless process, reducing waiting times. Customers will experience a paperless healthcare journey and streamlined administrative procedures from pre-admission to post-discharge.
For hospital operations, HIS – Amalga will help standardize electronic records, enabling full tracing of customer examination and treatment history on a single platform. This technology also helps increase the safety of treatment and medication use, provides transparent revenue and insurance statistics, supports rapid decision-making at the executive level through real-time hospital operational control, and offers many other advantages… Medical staff are supported by accurate, real-time updated data, minimizing professional errors.
In particular, the system supports the management of corporate health checkups using an “end-to-end” model, from contracts – appointments – tests – comprehensive reports all on one screen. HIS – Amalga is also designed for flexible expansion across multiple facilities, ensuring security according to international standards, ready for the future development strategy of the Sun Hospital chain within the Sun Group Healthcare system.
This is not only a technological advancement for Sun Hospital, but also a strategic move by Sun Group to create a pioneering smart hospital model in Vietnam, offering customers a resort-like, convenient, and comfortable healthcare experience. This collaboration also contributes to promoting friendly cooperation and technology between Vietnam and New Zealand in the healthcare sector.
