Da Nang: What's inside the "After Glow" show, promising to be Ba Na Hills' "secret box" this summer?
As night falls on Ba Na Hill, Beer Plaza lights up with a true "artistic feast" called "After Glow"—a captivating, dramatic, and enchanting cabaret show, likened to a "secret box" containing many delightful surprises.
Thrilling storyline, dazzling fashion, captivating choreography
“After Glow” is not simply a show captivating by its choreography, sound, and lighting, but also attracts visitors with its thrilling and dramatic storyline. Inspired by the image of Queen Marie Antoinette, one of the powerful and extravagant figures of the French royal family, and the magical, romantic beauty of Ba Na Hills at night, the show tells the story of a queen living in luxury, passion, and court intrigue.

In “After Glow,” “Royal Clown Lovelark”—the central character of the show—acts as the red thread connecting the entire performance.
The meticulously crafted script leads the audience from the dazzling kingdom of the Sun, inspired by the magnificent Palace of Versailles, to explore the enchanting hidden corners when night falls. In “Afterglow,” the “Royal Clown Lovelark”—the central character of the show—acts as the red thread connecting the entire performance. In particular, the confrontation between the Black Queen and the Red Queen—embodying instinct, rebellion, and the yearning for freedom—creates a psychological universe full of conflict, captivating the audience.

The thrilling plot and captivating choreography are key elements contributing to the show's appeal.
An indispensable element contributing to the visual spectacle of “After Glow” is the incredibly lavish and meticulously designed costumes for the characters. Inspired by Queen Marie Antoinette, the costumes are designed in the Rococo style (aristocratic fashion style), adapted to the Boudoir style (a style of wearing sensual clothing), perfectly suited to the theme and context of the show.
Furthermore, with the masterful choreography of Duc Viet and the talented performances of a multinational and diverse group of artists, the show delivered dance performances that were not only sexy and captivating but also highly expressive, connecting directly with the audience through every rhythm and movement.
Bringing the Cabaret art form to Da Nang for the first time
“After Glow” belongs to the Cabaret genre – a theatrical art form originating in France in the late 19th century, initially performed in small cafes and tea rooms in Paris.

In Vietnam, this type of performance is still very new. Bringing a Cabaret show to Ba Na Hills with famous transgender beauty queens from Thailand, a group of Drag queens (performers – usually male – dressed in feminine styles), and a renowned director is a bold move that breathes new life and excitement into Da Nang's nightlife entertainment industry.

From its very debut, the "After Glow" show has attracted considerable attention from numerous tourists visiting Ba Na Hills.
With "After Glow," cabaret art is placed in a contemporary setting while retaining its original spirit: a boundless stage – where secrets, desires, and beauty are compressed along with the audience's emotions, waiting to be released and burst forth; a multi-sensory experience – where light, music, dance, and fashion combine to create a symphony of boundless passion; and an invitation to the world of self, where each person confronts their own deepest secrets.
"The script, choreography, and performances by the artists are all very impressive, sufficiently passionate and captivating, yet extremely subtle and profound. I didn't think Vietnam had shows like this," shared Phillip Le, a Vietnamese-American tourist.
A Talented, Multinational Cast of Artists
One of the reasons "After Glow" is so special is the participation of a diverse and multi-gendered cast of artists. The show brings together 15 talented international artists from different countries with skillful performance techniques, notably including several transgender beauty queens from Thailand and a lineup of international drag queens.

The show features a talented, multi-national cast of performers.
Behind the success of "After Glow" is choreographer Duc Viet, also known by the nickname "Black Duck." He is the creator of unique and captivating dance performances in the hit TV show "Anh trai say Hi," the music video "Bac Bling" by singer Hoa Minzy, and most recently, the program "Em xinh say Hi." With "After Glow," Duc Viet has brought a fresh wave of entertainment: captivating, modern, and more free-spirited than ever before.
“After Glow” takes place at two time slots: 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 PM (except Tuesdays) at Beer Plaza, exclusively for guests over 18 years old. From the restaurant's 360-degree stage, visitors will experience a very different, magical, and free-spirited side of Ba Na Hills. The “After Glow” show will make your nighttime exploration of Da Nang even more thrilling and exciting.
