The Sun Symphony Orchestra (SSO) was established in 2017 with the support and partnership of Sun Group.
SSO aims to “become one of Vietnam’s symphony orchestras of international caliber, enriching the public’s spiritual life through music and setting new standards for the nation’s cultural and artistic landscape.” Its long-term goals include bringing high-quality performances to audiences across the country through main classical symphony seasons, chamber music concerts, as well as educational collaboration projects aimed at nurturing and supporting young Vietnamese musical talents.
Since its debut, SSO’s ticketed concert programs have received strong support and enthusiastic acclaim from audiences in the capital. The orchestra’s performance seasons have made a powerful impression and helped spread a love for classical music through large-scale concerts, featuring the participation of world-renowned guest artists such as Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Sumi Jo, and Benjamin Grosvenor, among others.
